Blantyre — In a new twist of events, Flames sensational striker, Frank Gabadinho Mhango is now training with Free State Stars with a view to landing a PSL deal after a short stint at Amazulu and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
According to Soccer Laduma, the Big Bullets wonder boy is now aiming to join Free State Stars ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
"A source close to the player said it is a mystery as to why he did not sign for Celtic, as a deal seemed imminent. He is now at Free State Stars and we have to wait and see what happens there before we can say much for now," reported Laduma.
Laduma also stated that Mhango confirmed that he is training with the Steve Komphela's team and that he is doing his best to land a deal.
Mhango was recently on trials with Amazulu and Bloemfontein Celtic, however failed to put pen to paper with either of the two teams.
Meanwhile, Big Bullets general secretary, Higger Mkandawire said they are expecting Mhango to jet into the country on Friday, but was uncertain whether he will feature for the people's team as soon as possible.
Bullets have a tricky fixture on Saturday as they host the Presidential Cup holders, Mafco at the soccer maker, Kamuzu Stadium.
Since Mhango left for the rainbow nation, the people's team have been relying on Diverson Mlozi, Heston Munthali and Lawson Chilewe as their main strikers.
