France-based striker Elias Uzamukunda makes a return to the Rwanda national team for the first time in four-years.

The 22-year old who plays for French lower division side, AS Cannes, and last featured for the Amavubis in 2010, has been named in a 23-man squad for the March 5 friendly against Burundi in Bujumbura.

The forward is one of three foreign-based players invited by head coach Eric Nshimiyimana for the tie, which forms part of the Amavubis’ preparation for the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Captain Haruna Niyonzima of Tanzanian side, Young Africans and defender Solomon Nirisarike of Antwerp in Belgium complete the foreign legion.

Nshimiyimana has been in charge of the Amavubis since last April, replacing Serbian Milutin Sredojevic, now with Uganda.
