Nigerian Football Federation drums support for Enyimba ahead Weekend clash with Al Ahly E-mail
Written by Sylvester Awenlimobor

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has called on Nigerians to massively support local league side Enyimba FC of Aba when they host visiting Egyptian League Champions, Al Ahly this weekend in the Eastern State of Abia.

The game which is a first leg CAF Champions League semi-final encounter clash, is undoubtedly the biggest clash on the continent as both sides have won the tournament on more occasions than any of the other clubs left in the competition.

President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Sani Lulu in a congratulatory letter sent to the management of the former Two-time African Champions for reaching the semi-final phase, urged the team not to relent on its oars but to consistently keep looking ahead to the ultimate trophy.

"This is to let you know that the Nigeria Football Federation is happy with your team's qualification for the semifinals of this year's CAF Champions League." Sani Lulu told the Enyimba management

"Against the backdrop of poor outings in the earlier rounds of the two continental club competitions by Nigeria's other flag-bearers, your qualification fills us with joy and we wish and pray that you will do everything possible to scale the semi final hurdle against Al Ahly of Egypt."

"We assure you that members of the Federation will be at the ground to give support to your team during the 1st leg, semifinal match, as well as the second leg match in Cairo.

"We also pray that you will go on to eventually win the trophy, to make it a third triumph in Africa's prime Club

championship." Lulu prayed

"We sincerely hope and pray that Nigerians get behind this team that has an opportunity to bring us glory," Lulu added.
